PlanCenter Enterprise is among the most versatile newspaper pre-press planning tool on the market. Production plans are formed and activated by drag-and-drop of page plans to presses.

PlanCenter Enteprise allows intermediate non-complete plans to be issued. The main philosophy is to allow the editorial page planning to be defined separately from the press planning. This reflects how planning is often done in practice—the page plan origins from the editorial planning stage whereas the press plan maps the page plan to realizable physically press configurations. A given page plan is applied on the available press resources for plate copy calculation
