| Mr. Alex S.C. Wee, Managing Director & CEO, Datamation Group | Alex Wee is the founder and Group Managing Director of Datamation Group. On 27th March 2007, Alex Wee was awarded one of the key industry leader of PIKOM. The PIKOM Key Industry Leaders are selected based on their invaluable contributions to the local ICT industry throughout the years. Some have made a large impact in the industry while others are regarded as brand CEOs in the ICT industry and therefore their achievements are applauded. Alex Wee started Datamation on October 14, 1983 and after 25 years, it is now a leading systems integrator and solutions provider offering end-to-end enterprise system solution from data capture to business process management, enterprise content management, enterprise customer communication management, prepress and professional publishing. In the early days, Datamation was primarily a company specialised in data automation, hence the name Datamation was derived. Over the span of 25 years, the company has grown from a Malaysian based entity to a regional organisation. We have offices established in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. We have transformed ourselves from “data automation” to “data transformation”. Datamation‘s solutions are deployed across industries in the banking, education, telecommunication, insurance, airline, military and healthcare space. Prior to setting up Datamation, Alex S.C. Wee spent seven and a half years with Delairco Industries Pty Ltd of Australia as manager in charge of the Far East operations. He later worked as the regional sales representative for Westinghouse Information Systems of Iowa, U.S.A. During those years, Alex conducted business extensively in U.S.A., Australia, Europe and South East Asia. |
| Lt. Col (R) Jeya Ponnudurai, Special Projects Director | Lt. Col (R) Jeya Ponnudurai is currently the Special Projects Director of Datamation Group and oversees the operations of the Prepress Department and EADS. An engineer by profession, he spent the first 14 years of his career as an officer in the Royal Malaysian Air Force where he headed a special project team to plan and implement the first aircraft and component overhaul facility (AIROD) in Malaysia. AIROD was operational in 1975 and Lt. Col (R) Jeya was Commanding Officer of this facility until his retirement from the Air Force in 1978. Upon leaving the Air Force, Jeya joined The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd. (NSTP) as Projects Manager. Here, he was responsible for the evaluation, purchase and implementation of new printing equipment and technologies and for the construction of new printing plants at Prai, Senai and Dungun. He was also responsible for introducing computerized systems to enhance business processes within the company and later held the appointments of General Manager, Berita Information Systems Sdn, Bhd. and Group General Manager, New Straits Times Technologies Sdn. Bhd, both wholly owned subsidiary companies of NSTP specializing in the provision of IT services. Prior to joining Datamation in year 2000, Lt. Col (R) Jeya was the Sr. General Manager of MBf Information Services Sdn. Bhd, which provided IT services to the MBf Group of companies. |
| Mr. Ng Teck Seng, VP Sales | Teck Seng is currently the VP Sales responsible for both government and commercial sales sector, working closely with Business Development to generate the sales and also responsible for account management of existing customers. Prior to Datamation, Teck Seng has served in multinational and major local IT companies in the area of solution development and sales management. He has close to 20 years of working experience in the IT industry. Teck Seng holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science. |
Ms. Lana Chan, VP Business Development | Lana Chan is currently the VP Business Development responsible for strategic alliance with our principals, managing a team of marketing & presale consultants who are involved with preparation of technical proposals, conducting product & solution presentation and also conducting marketing campaigns and lead generation activities. Prior to Datamation, Lana has worked as a Consulting Manager and also as an Operations Manager with various multi national corporations regionally in the areas of providing accounting software solutions and consultancy. She has more than 25 years of working experience in the IT industry. Lana Chan holds a Bachelor of Economics with a major in Accounting and is a fellow member of the Australian Society of CPAs. |
